Over the years, I’ve been lucky to learn from some amazing coaches, mentors, teachers, conductors, and peers. Their advice and insights about playing, practicing, teaching, creativity, and just navigating music and life have meant so much to me, and shaped my journey in ways I didn’t expect.
On top of that, my background in both music and organizational leadership has given me a unique perspective that influences how I work and think about both fields.
I created this blog to serve three main purposes:
First, as a handy resource for students, parents, and educators to find useful tips and tools without needing to scour the depths of the internet, purchase additional resources, or spend hours searching for information that should, and frankly ought to, be readily available.
Second, as a personal space where I can share some of the ideas, experiences, and lessons that have influenced me professionally over the years, in the hope that it helps others on their own journeys.
Third, and finally, this blog will contain some of my commentary, synthesis, and expansion on ideas within the greater organizational leadership field, with insights into how to be a better leader, run a better business, or just become informed on a new aspect of leadership.
I’m excited to keep adding to this collection, and I hope you’ll find something here that sparks your own creativity or helps you on your path.
