Student Arrangement Spotlight!

Today I want to give a spotlight to a student of mine who has spent a lot of time over the last year really exploring and studying their creativity, and understanding of jazz music. Autumn Leaves is probably one of the most iconic jazz standards, and having the ability to assist this student in editing and revising the arrangement they learned, in order to make it something that was closer to what she had in mind for the song, has been an immense privilege!

While I’m sure she has many more ideas to make this piece even more original, this first rendition is still a great one, and very exiting to have seen come to life!

Please see below for a PDF version of this iconic standard as arranged by my student (with slight edits made by myself as we went and input it into notation software)/
